Brassavola Little Stars spike

The spike on B. Little Stars grew a bit more, but it started to strangely come out to the side. Does it follow the light maybe? I moved it farther from the window glass to protect from cold, but now it gets less light, perhaps spike is trying to reach sun. Also it looks sort of yellowish, maybe it is drying out and blasting?
