Phal. Princess Kaiulani IV

Yet one more Princess Kaiulani is joining my collection but I still have just three of them because the number III died recently.
I got the new one from Ten Shin Gardens during the show in Ottawa for only $20. It has a spoiled bloom on a short spike.

The roots look fine:

Potted into net pot with sphagnum:

I am hoping it will be different from my other PKs.

Vanda denisoniana x Trudelia pumila

Primary cross between vanda denisoniana and trudelia pumila should be on a smaller side. I am not sure if it will take denisoniana fragrance.

It is a blooming sized plant, but I might not see flowers for a while since the roots are very sparse. Hopefully plant will grow more roots.

Vanda Somthawil

Vanda Somthawil is a primary hybrid between Vanda merrillii and Vanda denisoniana.

The flowers will have fragrance, I am really looking forward to get this one to bloom.
I potted it the same way as all my adult vandas, net pots with sphagnum at the top.

Vandachostylis Sri-Siam

This cute vandaceous is an intergeneric primary hybrid (is there such thing?) between Vanda tessellata and Rhynchostylis gigantea:

The roots were so much tangled into the plastic basket that I could not easily free them up without damaging. So I decided to keep the basket and just placed it into clay pot adding the sphagnum right inside the basket. Hope it will work.

Pictures of Vandachostylis Sri-Siam that I found on the web suggest that it should have nicely waxed dark red flowers with some fragrance.

Phalaenopsis Mancervi

This cute little bushy phal is a primary hybrid between cornu-cervi and mannii.
Plant has nice root system and an old spike.

Spike is not active now, I hope this hybrid reblooms on old spikes like cornucervi does, so I didn't cut off the spike.

Phal. Samera II

This phalaenopsis plant came labeled Phal. bellina x Phal. violacea. I am going to log it under proper name - Samera and this would be the second one for me.

Great thing - this one is a blooming sized one.

My princesses

Couple plants of Phalaenopsis Princess Kaiulani. Got them because this is kind of cross that I will buy anytime I see one for sale. I am not sure what clone it is or maybe it is just a seed cross, so there will be element of mystery when and if they bloom.

Phal. Princess Kaiulani II:

Phal. Princess Kaiulani III:

And just to have all my princesses in this post here is an update for my original PK from Crystal Star. It is doing fine and growing a new leaf:

Phalaenopsis Ambonosa

Phal. Ambonosa is a primary hybrid between amboinensis and venosa species. Should be nice and fragrant.
It is a small plant still:

But it seems to be establishing here - there is some new growth showing up.

Can't wait for it to mature and bloom!
