Phal. Samera II bloomed

This plant was labelled Phal. bellina x Phal. violacea, so to shorten the name I put it under Phalaenopsis Samera.
Here is how it bloomed:

I am a bit surprised to see such solid dark color. I was expecting something lighter with darker bellinas triangle in the middle.

In fact I don't see any influence of bellina in this phal, but then again I didn't see that many Sameras to really make any statements.

It could be a disappointment but I sort of like the color even though I realize that shape is rather bad with such reflected petals.

Haraella retrocalla

This is just an update on my mounted plant of Haraella retrocalla. It grew significantly since I mounted it and even has a basal keiki now:

There are two new spikes but no flowers yet. It seems like buds do not develop fully and open up as green little things. I have no idea why it is happening and am getting really disappointed with this plant.

Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana II

I am still attempting to grow a large "specimen" plant with keikis from this lueddemanniana.
Plant was living in the corner of orchid tank to make sure that keiki has some room to grow without being touched by other plants. It worked good but then keiki grew enormously long roots that started to grab on the white egg crate in that corner.

I still didn't want to remove baby from the spike, so I repotted plant into larger pot and gently guided three longest keiki roots into the same pot:

So now it is hanging on the spike with some roots growing into moss. I don't know if it was good idea. Hope it was.

Phal. I-Hsin George

Finally I-Hsin George activated one of the newer spikes:

It looks like there will be more than just one flower.

Phal. Liu's Cute Angel

Phal. Liu's Cute Angel wants to bloom again. I just recently cut off the old spike that flowered in the spring, it got dry and brown.
And now there is a new spike, on the other side:

I was going to repot this phal to change moss that is not quite fresh, but now it probably is better to wait for this new spike to finish whatever it will be doing (hopefully flower).

Phal. bellina II

New spike start was hiding under the leaf and I didn't even notice it for a while. Phalaenopsis bellina II decided to rebloom for me.

I like the flowers on this plant, it was blooming last summer for a while opening buds one after the other. Hope spike doesn't stop growing.

Phal. Cassandra bloomed

First flower opened on Phal. Cassandra today:

I like crisp white blooms but was hoping for more colorful spots in the middle. Still a pretty flower though.

I would grow this cross for the mottled leaves, but blooms are the bonus. There are two more buds on the spike.

Phalaenopsis Vio Vio another bloom

Repotting from moss to bark didn't affect the bud on Vio Vio and it opened just fine:

I really like this cross, the fragrance fills the tank, plant grows nicely and soon will become a nice specimen.

Here it is together with the Phal. Bashi Blackspot, flowers have similar shape but notice the difference in size. Both are nicely fragrant:

Bl. Morning Glory

Bl. Morning Glory = B.nodosa x L.purpurata. It came as a seedling from Clouds in fall 2011.
The very first flower opened today:

Looking at the many pictures on the web I was expecting white petals with pink lip, but mine came up all pink. I figure, since there are many varieties of L.purpurata, maybe my Glory was created with pink L.purpurata.

I didn't detect any fragrance yet, but I think it only appears at certain time of the day...
