Liu's Rainbow update

About a month ago I posted about Phalaenopsis Liu's Rainbow. It lost almost all roots and I wasn't sure if it will make it.
Well, it started to grow a new leaf now:

Of course a new root would be much better in the situation, but, I guess, new leaf is a good sign too.

Hopefully Phal. Liu's Rainbow is on a way to recovery.

Near death of Liu's Rainbow

I was wondering why this little guy didn't grow anything through the summer when all other orchids were bursting with new leaves and roots.
After unpotting I got explanation - it was busy rotting the roots, not without my help of course.
Here is what left:

I have peeled away all mushy stuff leaving some inner strings - they will help to anchor the plant in the media. Then I potted it into smallest net pot with sphagnum moss:

It would help if it was summer with warmer temperatures now. Hopefully it will survive.

Phalaenopsis Liu's Rainbow

Liu's Rainbow is a cross of Phal Be Glad and lindenii. I saw blooms pictures on the web and liked it.

It is a mini phalaenopsis, definitely blooming sized because there is a trace of an old spike. Plant is healthy and has decent roots.

I just need to somehow convince it to bloom for me.
