My speciosa C1 is blooming again and this time it has plenty of red, although one flower is totally white.
Her is the video of the blooms:

Phal. speciosa C1

Blooming continues. Two more flowers opened up, one is completely white, the other has one red petal:

Not too much red this time around, but still better than just white last time...

Phal. speciosa C1 bloom

My Phal speciosa C1 bloomed and now it has one red petal (last time blooms were all white for some reason):

I like the shape and size of the blooms on this phal. There are three more buds on different spikes, hopefully they won't blast.

Phalaenopsis speciosa C1

Phalaenopsis speciosa C1 is doing "white blooming" again. There are quite a few blooms and buds on one spike and still few unopened buds on the second one.

I am missing the random red petals on this plant.

I forgot what factor of environment controls intensity of red, need to do some research...

Phalaenopsis speciosa C1

I have managed to keep several buds from blasting on my Phalaenopsis speciosa C1 and here is the result:

Lovely blooms with purple lip. They supposed to have random red petal, but in my case it is random white petal. I guess there is more red color because plant is grown very warm now. I read somewhere that when it blooms during colder times - there is more white than red.

Nice fragrance is a bonus.

There are more buds and spikes coming on this plant. It is one of my favorites now too.

Phal. speciosa C1: preview

Phal speciosa C1 with broken leaf keeps producing buds and spikes. Some of them didn't survive because of low humidity, but now in humidity tray several buds are hanging there and already show some red color.

I am not sure if they will live until blooming, so decided to log this picture of buds almost ready to open. Keep my fingers crossed and hope to see the open flowers soon.

Phalaenopsis speciosa C1

I realized that I forgot to enter my Phal. speciosa C1 that came from Kingfisher Orchids back in May. It has a broken leaf from shipment and two spikes.

Since arrival it managed to blast a bud at the end of larger spike. After that I placed it into propagation tray that keeps higher humidity and looks like the smaller spike and two small branches on the big sike are activated and growing.
Will see what comes out of it.
Now, I already have Phal. tetraspis C1 from Ten Shin Gardens, but am not sure if it is the same species, because this one reads Phal. speciosa C1.

So both tetraspis and speciosa have C1 variety or what? Any ideas?
