Paphiopedilum armeniacum II

Paph. armeniacum is really taking its time, I don't even check on it every day, seems like it doesn't change much:

Well, I must admit, there is some progress, when compared to the last update, but I thought it will be fully open by this time.

The spike grew enormously long and leggy and not exactly straight. I wonder if I should have moved it into brighter spot, so it wouldn't follow the light.

Ascocentrum miniatum

Tiny Ascocentrum miniatum seedling is getting bigger and pushing out yet another new leaf.

It resides in a sunny window without any shade and with sun getting stronger - it got all the freckles.
I don't know if I should move it to the shadier place or just leave it as is. The leaves are strong and thick, it seems that sun doesn't bother them much...

Paph micranthum II

The bud on paphiopedilum micranthum grows amazingly fast:

The flower stem looks very different from smooth and velvety stem of paph armeniacum.

Clouds orchids put out their new catalogue and it includes quite a few parvisepalum hybrids. Of course eventually I would like to get them all, but for now thinking: Fumi's Delight, Lola Bird and Dick Wagner.

Paphiopedilum bellatulum

Paph. bellatulum started to grow a bud on the larger fan. The smaller fan is still young.

I like the pattern on the leaves, it is a bit different from other mottled paphs I have, more complicated and not too checkered.

Bl. Aurora

Discovered something new growing from the side of Bl. Aurora. I am not sure where the flowers come from with this orchid, but this one looks like a new bulb.

I got my Bl. Aurora from Clouds last fall and it grows nicely producing bunch of new roots and now possibly a new bulb.
It gets lots of sunlight - cause of purple leaves, but it doesn't burn them, so I let it be in the sun.
