Bl. Aurora

Bl. Aurora grew couple new pseudobulbs since I got it last fall from Clouds as a bonus plant:

Now one of the bulbs on the right started to show some growth from the top. I think it looks like start of the sheath where future blooms will develop:

The other possibility - it could be the second leaf growing. One of the parents of Bl. Aurora is Laelia anceps and sometimes (although rarely) it might have two leaves on the pseudobulb.

Bl. Aurora

Discovered something new growing from the side of Bl. Aurora. I am not sure where the flowers come from with this orchid, but this one looks like a new bulb.

I got my Bl. Aurora from Clouds last fall and it grows nicely producing bunch of new roots and now possibly a new bulb.
It gets lots of sunlight - cause of purple leaves, but it doesn't burn them, so I let it be in the sun.

Bl. Aurora

This one was bonus plant that came with my order from Clouds.
Bl. Aurora is a cross between Laelia anceps x Brassavola nodosa.

I placed it into full sun and it seems to be ok for now, just a bit of reddish color on the edge of the leaves underside. Some leaves have black tips - it came with them, I don't know the cause, hope nothing serious.
