Dendrobium antennatum

I don't particularly like dendrobiums but always wanted to get Dendrobium antennatum species because of the bizzare look of the blooms. I couldn't find it anywhere until came across it at the Ecuagenera website when ordering some masdies.

Very small seedling with some damages on the leaves, but I think it sill has a chance. There is a new leaf coming out of the largest cane and this little green nub will probably become yet one more cane:

I promised myself to buy blooming sized or at least NBS plants, but sometimes seedlings do slip in. This dendro is one of them, I guess.

Phalaenopsis Tsay's Evergreen

Phal Tsay's Evergreen has this concerning yellowing on the bottom leaf at the base. Plant overall looks ok, new leaf is growing, but when I re-potted to check out the roots - there was a lot of rot at the bottom part of the base, so I cut a chunk of it together with rotted roots. I am afraid that it will continue up.

Problem area closer:

Anyone has any suggestions? Is it saveable?

Vanda brunnea

Some while ago I moved my vandas from glass vases to the clay pots with some chc around the roots. Vanda brunnea was one of them.
I am glad to see that it was not a bad decision:

All plants show some nice root growths and now I don't have to fill those vases every day. It is enough to water them every third day.
One concern - roots do grab on to the clay, so when the time comes to get a larger pot, I might end up just placing old pot into the new one, so to not disturb the roots.

Paphiopedilum Magic Lantern

Hybrid between Paph micranthum and Paph delenatii, Magic Lantern should be easier to grow and bloom than the species.
I got mine from the Piping Rock Orchids, it is a blooming sized plant.
When repotting, I have discovered nice fat old roots, but none of the new growing points on the roots:

Potted it into the bark mix. It is actually the Shultz orchid mix that I sorted out to keep only fine pieces:

Phalaenopsis sumatrana

This phal came from Clouds in early fall 2011 and didn't do a thing since then. It came together with couple other plants and all of them showed some action - a new leaf or a new root, but not phal sumatrana. I started to have doubts about the point of this purchase, but...
It must have been waiting for spring, because now - there is a new leaf:

Finally!
