Lc. Love Knot 'Carmela's Blue'

Here is another dismounting.
I should not mount any plants anymore. They don't feel good in the house because of too low humidity and they grow disgusting stuff (mushrooms in my case) on the wood in the orchid tank with high humidity.
I had large piece of grape wood with two catts and very small vanda seedling mounted on it. They were doing well at first, but lately with all the heat and me missing waterings - vanda completely dried out and catts don't look too good either.
Catt. jenmanii grew its roots into wood too much so I had to leave it on the mount, but Lc. Love Knot 'Carmela's Blue' came off the mount easy and now is potted into clay pot with chc and enjoys spa treatment in the orchid tank:

New pseudobulb is coming out and roots have some green growing tips, I think it should be ok.

Mounted catts

A little while ago I mounted two cattleyas and a very small vanda on one large piece of grape wood. It seems they like it.
I had to cover roots with sphagnum moss to keep some humidity around them.
Plants are still alive and I can see several new root tips poking out of the moss.

Mounted some catts

This piece of grape wood might look familiar. I tried to mount several mini phals on it last winter.
Well, it didn't work out, plants didn't look happy, I freaked out and took them off.

This time I decided to put some cattleyas on it. From left to right they are: Lc. Love Knot Carmelas Blue, vanda coerulescens seedling and Catt. jenmanii:

Roots are white because they didn't see the light being potted into clay pots with chc. I guess they will become green at some point maybe. View from the other side:

I am going to spray the roots twice a day. Not sure if I should put some moss to cover roots or not?
Cattleya jenmanii:

Lc. Love Knot Carmelas Blue:

Both catts should be quite small in size. I put vanda in between them so the middle wouldn't be empty.
Hope they all will grow nicely together.

Lc. Love Knot 'Carmela's Blue'

This is a sad picture of dried out and wrinkled Lc. Love Knot 'Carmela's Blue'.

Together with bunch of small catt. seedlings that I got last fall, it was accidentally left for a while in the place where heating vent would blow the hot air on them. The seedling were just doubles that I planned to trade anyways, but this one was one and only.
I thought I will loose it too, but just noticed the small nub of new pseudobulb starting:

It might still survive, although will probably take years to come into a good shape.

Lc. Love Knot 'Carmela's Blue'

Lc. Love Knot is a cross between Laelia sincorana x Cattleya walkeriana, Lc. Love Knot 'Carmela's Blue' is a coerulea type of this cross and supposed to have bluish flowers. There were about four more pseudobulbs on this plant but during re-pottng I discovered that they had rotted from the roots up and bottom part of bulbs had a bit of black color, so I cut them off leaving just those that are healthy.
