Phal. Lyndon Equator Jewel II bloomed

It actually bloomed few days ago, I just didn't have time to make a picture and post. Here it is:

Apparently this cross blooms twice a year, since it just finished flowering last summer. I like pastel colors and light vanilla-like fragrance...

Phal. Lyndon Equator Jewel II

Phalaenopsis Lyndon Equator Jewel II activated both old spikes and is growing few buds:

I like pastel colors and light sweet fragrance on this plant.

Phal. Lyndon Equator Jewel II with more blooms:

The buds continue to open on Lyndon Equator Jewel II and here it is now:

It seems to be much more colorful and bright comparing to the number one plant of this cross that I have. I hope it is just an influence of hot and humid orchid tank conditions and when the "number one" will be ready to bloom - its flowers will be just as colorful.

I really like the color combination on this hybrid.

Phal. Lyndon Equator Jewel II blooms

Second cross of Buena Jewel and equestris opened the first flower:

Shape of the bloom looks a bit different from the first one and it seems to be more colorful, but color probably can be explained by the bright and humid tank conditions.
I think they both are pretty.

Too bad my first plant dropped the buds for some reason...

Phal. Lyndon Equator Jewel II

Technically this is not my plant anymore - it was sold and just waiting for the weather to warm up for shipping. It is catching up to its sibling in spiking:

Plant lives in the orchid tank too and got a bit of reddish tinge from the intense light. I moved it farther from the bulb yesterday, hope red disappears.

I noticed that different phals in my tank react to high light in their own ways.
Bellina just gets really light green, almost lime colored leaves.
One of the Tsay's Evergreens and fasciata got ugly yellow patches and really show the damage.
Equestris and its hybrids - get reddish brown pigmentation coloring leaves in patches that gets off when plant gets removed from the high light, at least I noticed it on equestris orange, equalacea, KR and this plant above.
Cornu-cervi and its hybrids get purple specklles all over.
Schilleriana gets bleached pattern on its mottled leaves.
Interestingly bright light seems to have no effect on gigantea seedling at all, no change in color, no pigmentation.
I wonder what other phals can take high light without showing signs of stress.

Phal. Lyndon Equator Jewel II

This is the second Phal. Lyndon Equator Jewel I got in my attempts to see the variation in blooms of the same cross. It is the cross of Phal. Buena Jewel and equestris alba and flowers can be quite unpredictable. Well, this one requires a lot of nursing before I might be able to see any flowers.

The good news is - there is a new root and a new leaf is coming out too.

Would be cool if the flowers were totally different from the number one plant. If they will appear the same - I will just sell one of them.
