Phal. cornu-cervi 'red' x Tsay's Evergreen bloom

Finally my Phal. cornu-cervi 'red' x Tsay's Evergreen managed to produce a flower. With several mature spikes you'd think it wouldn't need over a year to show its blooms, but here we go. I have had it since summer 2012 and only now it decided to flower.

I really like the flower. Contrast between yellow and white is amazing. Bloom has hard vaxy texture just like cornu-cervi. Although, there is not much red.

Only few randomly placed faintly red patches and some reddish color around the column.

Paphiopedilum Deperle

Paph. Deperle still has two blooms holding. I checked the records - it started blooming at the end of November, so 3 months in bloom - not too bad for paphiopedilum.
Yesterday watering it I discovered totally new growth coming out from the bush:

I am pretty happy with this purchase, most of my paphs are usually sulking along...

Mislabelled plant

I got this phal from Kingfisher Orchids last summer. The label states: Phal. gigantea x LD's Bear King. I was extremely excited when I noticed the start of a spike. Then it bloomed... Here is the result:

Not even close to label. I sent a picture to the vendor hoping he would ID this plant, but still didn't get an answer.
Such a disappointment. If anybody cares to venture a guess on the plant name, please do. I really want to put a name on that tag.

Phal. KS Jadegreen 'Kung Sir'

Phal. KS Jadegreen 'Kung Sir' activated another spike after very short break, so it practically blooms non-stop now:

The flower is lovely, the fragrance is amazing...

New Phalaenopsis Pictures

I already posted about my online project where I collect pictures of Phalaenopsis hybrids. Lately I wasn't able to spend much time on it and still didn't finish the feature allowing users to upload images. But even though it is not finished - people do visit my website regularly, I can see it in stats.
Also recently I was contacted by originator of two hybrids who offered me images of the crosses.
Here they are, link will bring you to the page with image and parentage of the cross:

Phalaenopsis Brandon Yu

Phalaenopsis Colleen Yu:

Aren't they just wonderful? This motivated me to start working on the project again. If you have any nice pictures of registered Phalaenopsis hybrids, please consider including them into my database. Send the images to orchideya2012 @ gmail.com (remove the spaces)
