Such a productive little plant Phal. lueddemanniana used the same two old spikes to flower this time. And again two blooms opened up almost simultaneously. Instead of pictures I created video:
I now kind of sorry that I removed keiki from it. Would be a really nice display if keiki produced the flowers too at the same time.
I like everything about this species and would like to add one more - the paler version of it.

Phal. lueddemannianna blooms
And bloom is upside down:

Not sure why. Spike was really short and I was afraid that it will get burried back into bark. It didn't, but spike turned over.
There is one more spike with bud coming up. I wonder if that one will flower correctly:

Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana II
I am still attempting to grow a large "specimen" plant with keikis from this lueddemanniana.
Plant was living in the corner of orchid tank to make sure that keiki has some room to grow without being touched by other plants. It worked good but then keiki grew enormously long roots that started to grab on the white egg crate in that corner.
I still didn't want to remove baby from the spike, so I repotted plant into larger pot and gently guided three longest keiki roots into the same pot:

So now it is hanging on the spike with some roots growing into moss. I don't know if it was good idea. Hope it was.

Lueddemanniana: more blooms

Lueddemanniana bloom
It opened today while I was at work.

I think it looks nice but of course I know nothing about proper shape and form.

There was a slight fragrance sweet and pleasant but very faint. Probably during the day it is more pronounced. I will sniff it on the weekend.

Lueddemanniana bud
Here is the thing that is literally testing my patience:

Every morning I check on it and hope that it is the day when it opens, but it never happens.
How large the bud should grow before opening? I don't know. It looks ready to me.

I hope it is worth waiting...

Coming up: lueddemanniana
It is now clear that Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana will be the first blooming in my tank:

The markings are there and they were visible even on the smaller bud. These two buds are not the only blooms there will be.
Here is the other spike:

They are much smaller but coming along nicely too. I wonder how long before the first bud opens...

Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana II
There is a lot of activity going on the two spikes of my Phal. lueddemanniana II:

One spike is growing a keiki plus activated spike tip and the lower node, hopefully there will be blooms in future. Keiki grows well, it has its very own root and started the second one on the back:

The other spike is growing a bud and activated two lower nodes, probably branches with more buds will come out:

I also noticed the start of a new leaf, hope plant has enough energy to handle all these growings.

Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana again
The cute keiki on Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana actually started to grow its own root:

Also please notice the active growing point at the end of the spike and something green coming out of the lower node.
But that's not all!
The second spike activated its growing point too:

I really hope that at least one of these growths will end up being a flower...

Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana keiki update
Strange looking growth on the spike of Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana looks more like a real keiki now:

It unwrapped small and very cute leaf:

Plant lives in the orchid tank and today it looked like another spike is becoming active too. I will check again in couple days to make sure it is really happening and not just me seeing things...

Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana II
About a month ago I posted Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana II with something growing on its old spike. I wanted to know if it was a spike branch or a keiki.
After almost a month it grew a bit, but still doesn't look like either:

What in a world is it? I guess the spike would be skinnier, but keiki would have leaves and this growth looks like some dendro pseudobulb start. I am so puzzled.
View from other side:

Anybody has an idea?

Keiki or just a spike branch?
Here is my Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana II with three old spikes :

On the spike in the top left corner there is some strange growth from the node. I don't have much experience with such things and am dying to know if it is a keiki or just a side branch of the spike that will have some flowers in a while.
Here is a closer picture of the thing:

Are there any experts reading this (or somebody who had grown at least one keiki and saw the start of one)? Does it look like this?
Maria, what do you think?

Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana II
I already had one - very small seedling growing very slowly. This lueddemanniana is a mature plant with three old spikes:

Foloiage is not in perfect shape, but new leaf grows healthy and there are few nice roots. Also one spike - top left on the picture, activated one node and grows this:

I am guessing it will be a new branch on the spike, so there might be blooms soon.
